My wedding photography journey started close to 17 years ago, and almost every year, I take some time to do a blog post of my top wedding photography photos of that year. For many years, I never missed one of these posts as they’re probably my favorite each year. Well, I broke that trend in 2022. I had an incredibly busy winter last year and before I knew it, we were in April- It just didn’t seem fitting.
Now that we’re at the start of the new year though, I had so much fun going back through 2023’s top wedding photos Nathan Desch Photography captured that I may take some time and do a retroactive post for 2022. Stay tuned. If you want to see any of our past posts of our best wedding images, you can find them at these links- Best Wedding Pictures of 2021, Our Favorite Wedding Pictures from 2020, Top Wedding and Engagement Pictures of 2019, and Best Wedding Pictures of 2018… If you want to go back further than that, bless you!
I have so many reasons why I love these posts and what they represent. I get to work with the most incredible couples year in and year out. Every single wedding is different, but at the end of the day, giving these people, their friends, their family, and the generations to come, images to remember these special days is what keeps me going! I also get to work with some absolutely amazing vendors and venues. I want to shout out a few in case anyone is stumbling upon this post and wants some ideas for where to have their wedding- In no particular order, The Inn at Leola Village, The Ballroom at Ellis Preserve, Drumore Estate, Springton Manor Farm, Riverdale Manor, Stone Gables Estate, The Ballroom at The Ben, Moonstone Manor, Skytop Lodge, Bear Creek, Icona Avalon, The Union League, Red Maple Vineyard, Folino Estate, Phoenixville Foundry, Crystal Tea Room, Union Trust, Inn at Villanova, Pomme, The Barn at Stoneybrooke, Hotel DuPont, Parque, The French Creek Golf Club, River House at Odette’s, and I’m only scratching the surface here.
As my career as a wedding photographer has progressed, it’s led to many incredible opportunities to serve the photography community I am a part of. Although I now wear the titles of CEO and Founder of ShootWith.Me, Co-Owner of StoryBook Design Co, Speaker and Educator, I still love shooting weddings because it allows me to serve others in such a meaningful and creative way. The longer I go, the more value I bring to the couples I serve as I am able to handle whatever curveballs come our way. I’ve shot weddings in blizzards, hurricanes, ice storms, heat waves, in busy cities, private estates, and everything in between. Weddings with just the bride and the groom and some with 400+ people in attendance. Weddings in all seasons, all weather, all times of day, and all kinds of people. What a joy it is to capture these moments in a way that our couples will cherish forever.
