Alana and Craig’s Pomme wedding had been circled on our calendar for roughly a year. From my first conversation with them, throughout the planning, all the way to their wedding, I knew their day would be magical and that they were going to put on a fantastic event. And that they did! The day finally arrived and Kate and I joined them at a local hotel in Conshohocken. Alana was in full prep-mode when I got to the room and the rest of her bridesmaids were in the process of getting ready as well. Meanwhile, Craig and the guys were getting ready downstairs and had the help of a tailor throughout the process, which ensured that they looked their best. Before the ladies headed to Pomme, they enjoyed a little champagne and a toss of confetti on the bed. I’m sure they instantly became the house keeper’s favorite crew. After they got over to Pomme, everyone started getting dressed and prepped for the first look. A short time later, Alana took a walk along the creek to meetup and have a special moment with the man she was about to marry. They literally could not have been happier to see each other. It was all over their faces! Moments like these are why I love shooting weddings so much! The wedding party joined us a bit later and we were able to knock out all of the formal shots one after the other. Everyone values having a handful of “posed” shots, but no one ever wants them to take tons of time to get them- Fortunately, we have a process to get through them all in twenty minutes or less- #Winning. Craig and Alana got a few more shots of the two of them after this and then made their way inside as the guests started arriving. (Pomme is an absolutely gorgeous property that sits in a wooded strip with corporate buildings on either side. You would never know it though once you take a turn onto their property. In recent years, they’ve done an amazing job showcasing the best features of the property. It’s easily one of our favorite places to shoot at for this very reason.) Once all of the guests had taken their seats, the ceremony began and a short time later, Craig and Alana were officially husband and wife! We are so happy for them. The party started a short time later and everyone made their way to the patio for cocktails and bite-sized treats. The newlyweds joined their guests after some time together and made their rounds. The festivities transitioned to the reception area and the wedding party was introduced before Craig and Alana shared their first dance together. The rest of the night unfolded as you might expect- dancing, eating, donut bars and great conversation. It was a special day to be sure!
