Chad and Megan’s Barn at Stoneybooke wedding this past weekend was one for the ages. This was our first time shooting a wedding here and it did not disappoint; in fact, it exceeded all of our expectations- Which were set pretty high. The property is immaculate, the prep suites are perfect, and the ceremony site is totally unique. Pair all of that with the ideal weather and this beautiful couple, and we’re like kids in a candy shop. We met up with Megan in the bridal suite late morning and hung out with her while she was getting ready. Chad was working on some last-minute details, but once he wrapped them up, he made his way to the groom’s suite to get ready. Chad and Megan got ready with some of their closest friends, but they didn’t have an official wedding party, so later on during the ceremony, all eyes were on them. I love when couples do this! Shortly after they were finished, we got them set up on the hillside for their first look, which was then followed by some family pictures on the lawn. The buses filled with guests started to arrive and not long after that, the ceremony began. One of Chad’s lifelong friends had the honor of marrying them- it was a beautiful ceremony for sure! From there, it was on to cocktail hour on the back patio. We took some of this time to get detail shots in the barn before all of their guests made their way in. Getting these detail shots may not seem all that important now, but in a few years, they’ll be so helpful to remember how the day looked which can spark all of the emotions for how they day felt. A short time later, Chad and Megan were introduced which led into their first dance as husband and wife. Serock Catering hit the ball out of the park with their catering for the evening! A little while later, when the sun was beginning to set, we jumped on the golf cart and Jenn, the owner, drove us around for some additional shots. Chad and Megan were up for anything- including some shots in the cornfield. It was back to the party for a while, and then we jumped back out for a few night shots to close out the evening. It was such a beautiful day and I cannot wait to go through all of the images. For now, check out a handful of my favorites.
