Kevin and Sarah’s Hotel Du Pont wedding was off the charts awesome! The day started off with cold weather and rain showers, but that didn’t have Sarah and her bridesmaids down when we got there in the morning to shoot prep. They were lively and enjoying the day. Kate headed over to Kevin and the guys on the other side of the hotel and they were chilling like the guys normally do on wedding days. After both of them were ready, we made our way to the epic staircase, which approaches the ballroom, for their first look. I can’t think of a better venue to be working at when going outside isn’t an option. As soon as they enjoyed a moment or two with each other, the wedding party joined us for some pictures in the ceremony room. We then knocked out a handful of shots of the two of them before doing some family shots. After that, the Ketubah ceremony began while the bulk of the guests made their way to their seats. The ceremony began moments later and was absolutely beautiful. While they were tying the knot, the clouds parted ways and the sun came out for a bit. We grabbed them for a few more shots outside after they officially became husband and wife. The reception began after a festive cocktail hour and Kevin and Sarah shared their first dance. The L.A. Starz, which in my opinion is the best local wedding band around, absolutely rocked the night away. Everyone had a blast partying and celebrating the new couple and just like that, the night was done.
