I’m so glad I got the opportunity to work with this amazing couple, however, it wouldn’t be genuine to say that they somehow stumbled upon my website, loved what they saw and decided to book with me. In fact, Jessica and Trevor never actually hired me for their wedding. The had previously hired a dear friend of mine, but due to some heartbreaking circumstances, she was no longer able to cover their day. I happened to be available and was honored to be able to fill in for her. Shortly after I took over as their photographer, I jumped on a call with them and gave them assurance that they were in great hands. Their wedding venue, The Rive House at Odette’s, is incredibly unique and presents a lot of amazing opportunities for portraits, but it also can present some challenges as well. We love a good challenge!

I started with Jessica and her ladies in the bridal suite and then once everyone was ready, we headed over to the towpath for their first look. When the sun is shining brightly, there isn’t a lot of shade so we walked down the path a couple hundred yards to an absolutely beautiful stretch of the path that worked perfectly for us. Jes and Trevor had a beautiful first look and then we took some time to do some portraits with them. After that, their wedding party and family joined us as well. Once we were back inside, we did some creative portraits with the two of them and then had some downtime before the ceremony. Trevor’s dad officiated the wedding and my second shooter, Haley, got an amazing shot of them coming back up the aisle. It’s one of my favorite shots from my second shooters this year! From there, the night was on cruise control. The River House does such an amazing job with their catering and hospitality. I wish the venue was closer to me, but I’ll happily drive there whenever needed. Later on in the evening, I took the two of them out for some night portraits as well. Jes and Trevor were such a joy to work with and I’m so glad I got to serve them on their wedding day!
