Chris and Kristen’s winter wedding at The Inn at Leola Village was so much fun to be a part of. If I, a completely outside observer of the day, can have an awesome time at your wedding, imagine how great it is for the friends and family of the new couple. Chris and Kristen are down to earth, friendly, and have a great sense of humor. It was like I was hanging out with longtime friends throughout the day. We kicked things off by joining the ladies in the bridal suite. Kate joined the guys in the billiards room when they started getting ready. It was an unseasonably warm day in January, so we were able to make the most of the beautiful weather and do their first look outside. God knew what he was doing when He created evergreen trees. They are the year-round gift to photographers to provide color, contrast and textures for a great backdrop. Fortunately, The Inn at Leola Village has a wall of pine trees on the side of their property along a stone pathway. I don’t think I have ever had a wedding there where I didn’t utilize them to some extent. Back to the day though. After their first look, we got right into wedding party and family pictures and were able to knock them all out ahead of the ceremony. As we were wrapping up, guests started making their way to their seats. A short time later, Kristen and Chris were officially husband and wife. After they enjoyed a moment after the ceremony, we made our way outside for a few more bride and groom shots. One of my favorite times during the wedding day is after the sun has set and the sky becomes deep blue in color. When we got back inside, the reception got underway and was a party full of dancing, conversations, great food, and an all-around great time for the rest of the night. It was such a joy being a part of this wedding with such a great couple. Kristen and Chris, I wish you all of the best moving forward and I hope you love these images as much as I do!
