What do you do when a hurricane is scheduled to come through the area the weekend of your wedding? You roll with it (and reach out to your photographer to help find a plan B). It was the Tuesday or Wednesday before the wedding and Felicia reached out to me to see if I had an backup plans for portraits of them, their family and wedding party. Although their wedding venue was an option, we decided to search for something a little more iconic. Through a connection, I was able to get in touch with one of the managers at the Pottstown Carousel. After filling them in on what the situation was, they graciously invited Gabriel and Felicia, along with their entire wedding party and family, to use the space for portraits. Immediately, the wheels in my brain started spinning and coming up with creative shots we could do. Well fast forward to the wedding, it turned out to be an incredible spot and matched the personalities of Gabe and Felicia. They are a fun-loving couple who didn’t care to have the most traditional pictures possible. We had a great time at the carousel and then headed over to Gianni’s Catering and Events for the ceremony and reception. Once there, the two almost newlyweds had an hour or so of single life before tying the knot. Moments later, they were married. The rest of the night went perfectly. Gabe, Felicia, and all of their guest had a wonderful time celebrating and before we knew it, the night was over. I really love some of the images we captured from this wedding and hope you do as well!
