Last Sunday I had the pleasure of hanging out with Stephanie and Brent at the Daniel Boone Homestead and do some engagement pictures. Leading up to Sunday, the weather looked perfect, but as the day came closer, rain started to sneak into the forecast. By the time Sunday afternoon rolled around, it was a steady drizzle the entire time. You won’t get any complaints out of me though- I love how the texture of the sky came to life and the overall mood and feel was wonderful. Brent’s mom tug along and occupied their dog when she wasn’t in the pictures. I always love when couples bring their dogs to sessions! We wandered around the property and found many different settings to shoot in. A lot of times when we go to places like this, it’s not for the actual historical significance of the location, but rather because it is an area that is easy to meet up at and has some off the beaten path areas.
