Nick and Mersadis’ wedding at Bear Creek Ski Resort was one for the ages. This was the first wedding I have ever shot where the entire venue staff was dancing on the dance floor by the end of the night- Not in a weird you-shouldn’t-be-doing-this way, but in a way that was fun, engaging and supportive way. I love working at venues like this where the staff isn’t taking themselves too seriously, but they’ll also maintaining professionalism along the way.
The day started with me meeting Mersadis and her bridesmaids in the salon at the resort. I love Bear Creek because they have everything a couple needs to throw an amazing wedding.
Once they were all ready, we went back up to their suite for the rest of getting ready.
Once Nick and the guys were ready, we set up their first before they shared their private vows. Couples sharing their private vows has become one of my favorite trends over the past few years.
After that, we knocked out wedding party pictures and family pictures before the ceremony. If you’ve read any of my other posts over the years, you know I absolutely love getting this all done prior to the ceremony so that afterwards, the couple can be on the same timeline as their guests.
Mersadis and Nick had a beautiful ceremony and then were able to celebrate with their friends and family afterwards.
The reception was a total blast and like I said earlier, by the end of the night, the entire staff was on the dance floor having a great time.
We capped off the night by having the newlyweds jump in the pool for a few epic closing pictures.
I drove home soaked up to my chest, but it was worth it!
