Randy and Leigh- Two of the nicest people you’ll ever meet. It was such a joy being a part of their special day and I don’t even know where to begin with this one. For that reason, I’ll just take you through the day leading up to their Barn on Bridge wedding. I dropped Kate off to hang with Randy and the guys at the hotel and then made my way over to the Airbnb where Leigh and her ladies were getting ready. Renting an Airbnb house for the weekend is one of the smartest moves you can make. You’ll normally have way more space, a location with character, privacy, and a more personal feel- All for a fraction of the cost. Can you say #winning?! (I don’t actually think anyone says “winning” anymore, do they?) Anyway, Leigh and Randy picked out the perfect spot and once the ladies were all ready, the guys joined them at the property. Leigh and Randy had their first look under the outside pavilion and then we got right into wedding party pictures and a few of the two of them. I absolutely love how they had the day planned out- plenty of extra time and wiggle room, but not so much that people were sitting around with nothing to do for hours on end. After we wrapped up there, we headed over to The Barn on Bridge to begin to get ready for the ceremony. Barn on Bridge is a beautiful venue that is a great option if you’re looking for the barn/rustic feel but don’t want to head all the way out to Lancaster County for the wedding. After a short time, the guests started to arrive and take their seats. The ceremony was underway in no time and before you knew it, Randy and Leigh were officially husband and wife. I normally don’t go crazy with verbal details of the ceremony, but I absolutely love the decor they had. It was seasonally appropriate, but not tacky in any way. The pastor knocked the message out of the park too. After having witnessed several hundred wedding ceremonies, the process can become somewhat repetitive. That’s not a bad thing per se, and each ceremony is unique in their own way- But having said that, when you have the officiant say their words with conviction- it can be a great challenge and encouragement to the married folks in attendance. Anyway- back to the day. Once the ceremony was over, everyone made their way into the barn for cocktail hour and refreshments. Not long after that, the wedding party was introduced and the reception was underway. Randy and Leigh shared their first dance on the catwalk and were later joined by their wedding party. The catering staff from Robert Ryan Catering did an amazing job with the fare for the evening and Joel from SilverSound had the dance floor packed all night long. Later in the evening, I took the newlyweds outside for a few night shots and not before long, the night was over.
Randy and Leigh, we wish you the absolute best and we are so honored that you had us be a part of your special day. Enjoy a handful of our favorite images from the day.
