Ricky and Cherrise’s Inn at Leola Village wedding was a splash, mixed with fire, and a whole lot of fun. It had been a little while since we were here and it was great to be back. The Inn at Leola Village is one of our favorite venues because their staff is the definition of consistency and we always know our couples will be treated like royalty- that’s not to mention that it lacks nothing in terms of picture opportunities. Kate and I met up with Cherrise at the on site salon and hung out with them for a while. The guys, in typical fashion did a whole lot of nothing all morning until they met up in Ricky’s suite to get dressed. A short time later, they made their way to the billiards room to chill until the ceremony. The ladies made their way to the bridal suite to finish getting dressed. Cherrise had a first look with her dad right before the ceremony on the back lawn. This is always a very nice moment during the day and can relax some nerves. The ceremony began a short time later and Ricky and Cherrise officially became husband and wife. After they made their exit, the guests headed over to cocktail hour while we knocked out some wedding party and family pictures. We opted to do the bulk of their bride and groom shots later around sunset so that they could join their guests for a bit. The barn doors opened a bit later and they were introduced for the first time to a roaring crowd of their favorite people. They shared their first dance and then sat down for the first course. The evening progressed as usual and once everyone was done with their meal, the party began on the dance floor and didn’t stop for the next three hours. Everyone transitioned over to the afterparty on the patio and watched as Ricky and Cherrise jumped into the pool together. I’ve had my share of guests jump in the pool over the past few years, but this was a first for me. It just goes to show how awesome these two are and how they were down with anything. This day was such a joy to be a part of and we were so happy to be a part of it.
