Last week I made a post showcasing some of my favorite silhouette images. Today, as we brace for snowpocalypse 2017, I bring you a collection of some of my favorite pre-ceremony wedding images. The time leading up to the ceremony is one of my favorite parts of the day- who am I kidding though- I love every part. I especially enjoy the pre-ceremony part of the day though because it offers a lot of candid moments and generally is more laid back than the rest. During this time, we do a lot of detail shots of the dress, shoes, jewelry, and more- I’ll have a post with those images soon. Because our coverage is for the entire day, we often encourage couples to have us start an hour and a half or two before hair and make-up concludes. It enables us to have a variety of shots without getting redundant. We also like to grab a few individual portraits of the bride and then the groom during this “slower” part of the day. The first look also falls into this part of the day, but I am also going to dedicate a full post to that as well- Be on the lookout. Most of our couples have an engagement session with us at some point, which helps ease up some photo jitters leading up to the day, but starting with the bride and groom early serves as a way to ease into it as well. As I went through these images, many I remembered with ease, but many I had forgotten about. This just goes to show that over time, the memory starts to fade a bit. Use that as a reminder to make sure to have entire day coverage on your wedding day. It flies by so fast and then you blink, and you’ve been married for five or ten years. I speak from experience. For now though, I hope you enjoy these as much as I do!
