Friends, it’s Nov 1st and I’m sitting down to blog a wedding that took place back in JULY!?!? Where has this year gone? They say, “The days are long but the years are short”. I find this to be true in a lot of ways, but really, the days this year have been flying by as well. For our studio, things are beginning to slow down. We have two more of our own weddings this year and then will enjoy some much needed downtime… Likely getting caught up on blogging all of the other amazing weddings and sessions we’ve done this year. One of those though is AJ and Brittany. A while back, a photographer friend of mine reached out about one of her couples. They had booked a 2020 wedding with her, but then the world lost it’s mind, so when they went to reschedule for 2021, she was already booked for their date. So she sent them my way and I’m so glad she did. Brittany and AJ were so much fun to work with! I started the day with Brittany at the hotel in Reading, PA and Kate joined AJ and the guys for prep at the Goggleworks. The day unfolded smoothly and before we knew it, it was time for the ceremony to begin. AJ had planned the entire ceremony so when Brittany walked into the room, it was an incredibly reveal for her. How special of a moment! After they tied the knot, we shot some family pictures and then headed outside with the wedding party. We wrapped that up and then got some bride and groom shots with the intent to sneak back out later in the evening. Everyone was enjoying cocktail hour, but then they were whisked over to the reception ballroom where the party would continue for the rest of the night. AJ and Brittany enjoyed their first dance, speeches, dinner, and the rest of the formalities, then the band began doing their thing. Everyone was on their feet for the next several hours- It was awesome. Once it was dark out, we stole them for a few pictures on the roof of the parking garage across the street. This day flew by so fast and it was so much fun going back through their images today to relive it! Enjoy a handful of my favorites below.
