This is way overdue. It’s been a season of playing catchup- With reschedules, cancellations, plans changing and actual weddings and shoots happening, it’s been hard to find time to knock out blog posts. believe it or not, it’s actually one of my favorite parts of what I do. I get to showcase my favorite images from our couple’s days and present them to you with some background. Whether you’re friends of the couple, or planning your own wedding day, seeing someone else’s plans come together can be inspirational. So, without further delay, I present you the wonderful Lori and Jared.
It seems like an eternity ago when Lori initially reached out about their wedding back in January of 2019. Later that spring, we met up in Lancaster for their engagement pictures- and had blast by the way. Fast forward to the craziness that last year was and plans were delayed until 2021. They couple have picked a better day to finally tie the knot. Their wedding at Drumore Estate was basically perfect. I’ve said it before, when you mix a great couple with an awesome venue, you literally cannot screw it up. It’s always going to yield a day that everyone loves being a part of.
I started things off by meeting up with Lori and her ladies in the bridal suite. They were each taking turns getting their hair and makeup done while the others were enjoying each other’s company. Super laid back and relaxed- Always a good sign for the beginning of the day. Kate joined Jared and the guys down in the grooms suite. They were doing all of the normal things… and some not so normal. Like Jared giving one of the guys a legit full haircut. Not too long after everyone was ready to go, we led the almost newlyweds to the garden for their first look. We followed that up with bridal party and family pictures. So nice getting that out of the way before the ceremony. After we wrapped that up, guests began to arrive and take their seats. The ceremony was shortly underway and after such a long wait, Lori and Jared were finally married.
The reception was preceded by a nice cocktail hour filled with conversations, laughing, and seeing old faces. Everyone then made their way to the tent to witness the introductions followed by the first dance. Toasts and a blessing led to dinner and dancing. The night unfolded beautifully and once the lighting was perfect, we stole Jared and Lori away for a few more pictures. Everyone had such an amazing time at this wedding and we absolutely loved being a part of it.
