I met Matt and Monica at a bridal show earlier this year and instantly knew they were a couple we would love to work with. Their goals and vision for their Ironstone Ranch wedding were awesome- So when they pulled the trigger and booked with us, I immediately circled their date on the calendar. Then Covid hit and weddings started postponing or canceling left and right. Month after month, our schedule shrunk, but we made it all the way to September and were able to make this one happen. I am so thrilled not only for them but that they were able to have a celebration that was for all intents and purposes just as epic as it would have been if Covid wasn’t a thing. With that being said, let’s get into it.

Kate and I got to Ironstone in the morning while the guys were hanging out in their suite and the ladies were getting ready in the farmhouse. I love Ironstone Ranch because they have two really great locations for both wedding parties. Once they were both ready, Monica and Matt had their first look in the yard next to the house. They spent a few minutes reading notes that they wrote to each other and then we transitioned to knocking out some wedding party pictures while roaming the property in horse-drawn carriages. We found a great area with plentiful shade which was absolutely perfect.  After that, we blitzed out some family pictures before the wedding party went into hiding before the ceremony. Moments later, the guests began to arrive and made their way their seats in the apple orchard. The ceremony was underway a bit later and bada bing- they were officially married. The guests made their way down to cocktail hour and enjoyed a surprise appearance by a couple of llamas and a pig from the ranch. Everyone enjoyed a few refreshments and then made their way up to the barn for the reception. The night absolutely flew by with everyone celebrating and toasting the new couple. We were even able to sneak away a couple of times for some sunset shots and then a round in the “tunnel of love”.

We had so much fun being a part of this special day and couldn’t be happier for Matt and Monica. For now though, enjoy a handful of our favorites from the day!
