Nathan and Emily’s Ballroom at Ellis Preserve wedding was bananas. Not just the regular ones though; the kind that are dipped in chocolate, crushed pretzels and caramel- That kind- Awesome. This was one of those days where 30 seconds in, you know it’s going to be amazing, fly by, and you’re going to race home to edit a few before the night is over. Weddings like this, where the venue is beautiful, the wedding party and family are fantastic and the bride and groom are up for anything are the most fun refreshing weddings we are a part of. This day started out with us getting to the venue to get some shots of the ladies getting ready and then I swung over to the hotel to hang with the guys for a bit. After Emily’s emotion-filled first look with her dad, she and Nathan connected on the front lawn to have a few moments to themselves before the day really got going. We were then able to knock out the bridal party and family images before all of the guests arrived. In the Fall, first looks can be really helpful for this reason. Once all of the guests had taken their place, the ceremony began. Moments later, the almost newlyweds became actual newlyweds- everyone was filled with excitement. After the precessional, everyone headed inside for a beautiful spread and cocktails provided by Finley Catering. Emily and Nathan joined me outside for a few more shots before joining their guests. A short time later, everyone was invited into the ballroom for the reception. Their intros transitioned right into the first dance, parent dances, speeches and the main course. The rest of the night? Well, let’s just say everyone had a blast celebrating the new couple on the dance floor. It was a wedding to remember for sure!
Emily and Nathan, thank you so much for having us be a part of your big day. You both were a joy to work with and we wish you the absolute best moving forward. We hope to cross paths with you again soon.
