Jose and Colleen’s Inn at Leola Village wedding was one for the ages. Sometimes weather can add a little intrigue and suspense to a wedding day in that it can shake up plans a bit. I can say this with absolute certainty that in our 225+ weddings, we have never had a wedding ruined by a little rain… or snow… or hurricane… I think you get the idea. Jose and Colleen’s day was calling for rain, and it came and went, throughout the day. We worked with it, and they didn’t let it rock their world. Jose and Colleen knew that at the end of the day, come rain, tornado, or armageddon, they would be husband and wife. Kate and I joined Colleen and her ladies in one of the hotel suites at Leola Village in the morning. Colleen’s sister’s salon, Cut Ups Salon, handled everyone’s hair and make-up for the day, and did a great job. Colleen opted to get ready in the suite because of the beautiful natural light that pours through the windows. It was a great choice. After some time with them, I joined Jose upstairs where he and the guys were getting ready. The clouds held off for a bit, so we were able to take Colleen and her ladies, and then Jose and the guys, out for some pictures. Shortly before the ceremony, the soon-to-be-newlyweds exchanged letters with the barn door blocking their view of each other. This was a fun way for them to be in a shot together without seeing each other. After their beautiful ceremony, we too the bridal party out for some shots, followed by a few of Colleen and Jose. The Inn at Leola Village did an amazing job with the fare for the night, and Binh from Silver Sound keep the guests on their feet and having a good time.
Colleen and Jose, thanks for having us be a part of your big day. We wish you both the best!
