A few years before I quit my “regular job”, I worked as an electrical systems installer. Our company would service PA, NJ, DE, MD and parts of VA and NY. Working close to home never happened and in reality, I usually had to commute an hour or two, unpaid, to the job site. It got old really fast. We had a huge job at a mall east of Morristown, NJ that lasted several months. Every day, it was a two and a half hour drive there and back. Start at 7am, leave at 3pm. I am getting grouchy just thinking about it. Why did I bring this up you ask? I brought it up because a couple weeks ago, I met up with Mike and Meg in Morristown where they used to live. The drive there was a breeze and it didn’t make me grouchy at all. Why? Because I absolutely love what I do. I love every aspect of working with great couples to give them images that are “them”, that fit their personality and tell a story of their love and who they are together. There really isn’t anything better in my opinion. Meg and Mike were no exception. They were awesome to work with and we had a lot of fun walking around their old stomping grounds. We headed over to Cross Estate Gardens to tie in some scenery after we were done in town. These two are naturals and I am very excited for their wedding next Spring at The Loft at Jack’s Barn.If you are interested in having a portrait session in Morristown, NJ, we would love to hear from you.
