I have had my eye on Jason and Jennifer’s wedding date for quite some time. One reason is because I loved their engagement session at Lake Nockamixon. Another reason is because we finally got a chance to shoot at Ironstone Ranch in Elizabethtown. And if you’re looking for another reason, it’s because Jason and Jennifer are awesome. We loved this wedding for so many reasons; the venue, couple, rain, details, and so on. I know most brides hope for sunny skies on their wedding day, but when the raindrops began to fall, Jen didn’t let it get to her. They made the best of it, and it also led to some awesome night shots. I loved how they had their entire day at Ironstone Ranch as well. It makes all of the transitions throughout the day very smooth and seamless.
We met up with the ladies at the farmhouse in the morning for hair and makeup. Jen and Jason had a large bridal party so there was plenty of action all day. Once they were ready, Jason and Jen did a first look, which was awesome. We knocked out some bridal party shots after that because we didn’t know how the weather would cooperate after the ceremony. They then had a beautiful ceremony in one of the barns and it was then party time for the guests. We went around the property with the newlyweds for a while and then headed back to the house so that they could dry off and warm up a bit before the reception.
Klock Entertainment kept the dance floor packed and people partying all night. The rain picked up later on so we went out for some fun night shots. Jen and Jason were the first couple we ever worked with that had a rainy wedding night, and actually wanted to go out and make the best of it. I am so glad we did.
Jen and Jason, thanks for having us be a party of your day. You guys are the best and it was an honor being a part of your big day!
