I had this engagement session circled from the moment James and Meredith locked us in for their wedding next year at Omni Bedford Springs. Not only was I really looking forward to doing their shoot in Washington, DC, I was also looking forward to meeting them in person. It seems like we have been booking a lot of out of state/ area couples lately, so Skype has been the medium of choice for consultations. So a few Friday’s ago, I hopped in my car and drove down to spend the afternoon with James in Meredith. We strolled around in Georgetown, and then went down by the monuments. We finished up at their apartment so that we could get a few shots of their little guy Jack. While in Georgetown, we took advantage of all of the great architecture and unique home fronts. We even got kicked off some (private) steps by a cleaning lady- good times. We also stopped in at the local library, where their staff gracefully allowed us to take a few shots. I always love shooting in places I don’t frequent often, but it is especially nice when it’s with a great couple like these guys. James and Meredith, thanks for making room in your schedule for this shoot- I’m looking forward to your wedding next year.If you are getting engaged or married in the DC area, and would like more information on Nathan Desch Photography, we would love to hear from you HERE
