This blog post has me flipping out! No, not because of the last image from Kevin and Stacey’s Drumore Estate wedding (no peeking yet), but because I’ve taken so long to share their big day with you. Heavens (Christelle hates when I say that- Says I sound like an old woman), Kevin and Stacey’s wedding day was such an amazing thing to be a part of and kicked off a wild series of 13 weeks of shooting 19 weddings, 8 engagement sessions, shooting for a non-profit in Morocco for a couple weeks, and taking the family to Puerto Rico for vacation. It was an absolute blast and couldn’t have started with a better couple. Kate and I joined Stacey and her ladies at the bridal suite at Drumore and you’re not going to believe what happened next! Ok, actually, you probably will believe it- They got ready for the big day and all looked fantastic Stacey and the girls were so laid back and fun to be around. The mood of the day is often shaped during hair and makeup, so we knew we were in for a good one. Once Stacey was ready, we got Kevin in place for the first look. This is always one of the most fun parts of the day because we get to experience the excitement of the two seeing each other for the first time. The bridal party joined us a few minutes later and we were able to work through the formal shots with them and family. If you don’t already know, getting those out of the way early in the day can free you up after the ceremony. Speaking of the ceremony, everything was made official a little while later when they officially became newlyweds! Then it was time to party and down in the carriage house. All night long, everyone was dancing, eating/drinking, and having a blast, but my favorite part is when one of the groomsmen was…uhh… persuaded to do a backflip into the pool. Can’t make that stuff up. Kevin and Stacey, you are awesome and we were so happy to be a part of your wedding.
