Summer weddings at Riverdale Manor are special. Strike that- All weddings at Riverdale Manor are special- for real. We have never come away from a wedding there and had the feeling that the day was less than amazing. Tom and Alicia‘s wedding fit that same bill- it was top notch. Tom and Alicia are two fun loving people who have a contagious joy. At several moments throughout the day, I’d look over a them and they were glowing. We met up with the guys at the hotel in the morning and then trekked over to Riverdale for some prep with the ladies. They opted to not do a first look, but that didn’t stop us from doing some wedding party shots before the ceremony. Anytime we can get some of this stuff out of the way, we do. Not long after that, they had a beautiful ceremony down by the river which was followed by refreshments on the patio. We finished up with the formal pictures and the newlyweds joined their guests for a bit. Later on during sunset, we stole them away for a few more. Riverdale did an amazing job as always with the fare for the evening. Everyone had a great time celebrating the new couple. And just like that, the night was over. I know from experience that for the bride and groom, the day flies by. But as a photographer who has shot hundreds of weddings, I also get joy and excitement when I get to go through the images and relive the day. Knowing that the couple can do the same through the images we capture is one of the best feelings in the world!
