Brides and grooms, take notes from these two. They did it right. Okay okay, before you start throwing rotten tomatoes at me, let me explain what I mean. I have often said that each and every wedding is awesome in it’s own way; and they are. Some, however, have the stars align in their favor. They have perfect weather, awesome locations, great day-of timelines, and by far the most important, trusting and willing couples. In addition to their great planning and awesome vendors, one of the reasons Shay and Chelsea were great to work with was because they were open and willing to try anything we asked of them. No, we’re not in the business of micromanaging wedding days or stealing the bride and groom for hours on end, but there are moments throughout the day when the setting and lighting is perfect for pictures and we sneak away for five minutes. Shay and Chelsea jumped on every opportunity to get some awesome shots, and I know they are glad they did. Whether it was a perfectly setting sun, night shots, or earlier in the day when the sun was hitting just the right spot, Shay and Chelsea were ready to go. Add to the day that we were at Harmony Hall, and got to work with The Couture Cakery and Ryan Miller Entertainment, it was top notch. Harmony Hall is a great venue tucked away between Lancaster and Harrisburg, and offers a great reception area in addition to an awesome outdoor ceremony spot. If you’re looking to celebrate your wedding with a party, Ryan Miller is the Dj for you. He got the crowd on their feet and kept them there. If you want to go above and beyond to wow your guests, go ahead and get in touch with Jasmine from The Couture Cakery. Her candy/dessert bar is second to none. I’ll be honest, I was temped to ditch the camera gear for a few minutes, blend in with the guests, and snatch up a cupcake.
