You may have seen it- the meme that went around online about the groom who realizes his wedding and the Super Bowl are on the same day. He makes a tough choice, but ultimately decides to find a replacement… for his bride on the wedding day so that he can go to the game. Brad and Vicki missed that impossible decision by a week. I call that good planning. All joking aside, this was a great wedding. Kate and I joined Vicki and the ladies at the City Ave Hilton in Philadelphia for some getting ready shots, and then I trekked over to Brad and the guys for a few minutes before everything got going in full force. Brad jumped in the truck and we headed over to the Merion Botanical Garden to get set up for the first look. With their wedding being a week before the Eagles’ game, I asked him how they were going to catch the game. Brad was way ahead of me on that one- He had already contacted the hotel in South Africa and had a TV scheduled to be hooked up and ready to go in their room… at 4am Monday morning. Well played sir. Well played. shortly after we were all set, Vicki showed up on the trolly and they shared a first look and some time together before the bridal party and family arrived for pictures. On the way back to the Hotel, Vicki wanted to stop at St Joes for some pictures in one of the courtyards. As we were doing our thing, we began to hear chanting in the distance. Moments later, hundreds of girls showed up decked out in neon swag. It was a sight to behold for sure. It was some sort of sorority initiation or something. After both “parties” enjoyed some time together, we headed back to the Hilton to get ready for the ceremony. As soon as they tied the knot, it was time to party. Brad and Vicki joined their guests for cocktail hour and then made their formal appearance for the reception. For the next three or four hours, the party didn’t stop. Jeff from Rhythmix Entertainment had everyone on their feet the rest of the night. It was such a please being a part of this wedding and we wish Brad and Vicki the best!
