Winter weddings in the city are perfect. Crisp, bordering on cold, days, a festive atmosphere, and a great couple are all I can ask for. Karl and Deanna’s Cescaphe Ballroom wedding delivers in a big way and it was such a joy to work with them, their friends and family. Kate and I joined Deanna and her ladies at her parents house in the morning for some prep shots and then I headed back over to the city to join Karl and his guys. There was a lot of hustle and bustle around City Hall, so we did their first look on a covered sidewalk next to the hotel. Once we wrapped up with them, we headed over to Rittenhouse Square for bridal party pictures. That area has become one of my favorite spots downtown. It offers great color and texture… and some open space. It was then over to The Cescaphe Ballroom to get ready for the actual ceremony. I absolutely love how Deanna and Karl decorated for the ceremony. Having full sized Christmas trees reminded me of their engagement session from a year earlier. They had a beautiful ceremony which was followed by an ever impressive cocktail hour spread. Once everyone finished mingling together, the official reception began. The Cescaphe Event Group always knocks it out of the park! The rest of the night flew by full of dancing, dinner, toasts, and dessert. If you’re planning a Winter wedding, take notes from Karl and Deanna- They know how to throw a party!
