Some couples pick their wedding date arbitrarily. Some pick it based on the availability of their wedding venue or vendors they want to work with. Others though, pick it based on the date’s significance in their story and life. Jon and Laura picked October 16th because it is the anniversary of both sets of their parents. Kate and I met up with the ladies at Joseph Anthony Retreat Spa, and then headed over to Laura’s parent’s house for the rest of prep. Once everyone was ready, we headed over to the church where they had a beautiful ceremony. We jumped on the turnpike, and headed north to the Talamore Country Club. Let me tell you something, not all country clubs are created equal when it comes to weddings. The Talamore Country Club boasts a fantastic ballroom with high ceilings and a beautiful balcony, immaculate grounds, and a fantastic staff. I cannot say the same about most of the other country clubs we have shot at. If you are looking for a venue in the Ambler area, do yourself a favor and check out the Talamore Country Club. Back to Jon and Laura- Once we got there, we walked around with the bridal party for a little while finding all kinds of great spots. We then took the two of them to the furthest spots on the property and shot through sunset and dusk. Cleveland, from Blue Root Entertainment, rocked the party all night, and kept everyone on their feet. Jon and Laura’s reception was a blast!
