Mike and Lapde are getting married in Lancaster next year. They now live in Connecticut, but wanted to do their engagement session in Philadelphia where they lived before. We started at one of their favorite spots, the Reading Terminal Market. When you shoot in a crowded place like that, you just have to go with it. Obviously we aren’t going to ask hundreds of people to get out of our way while we take pictures, so they become part of the story. Once done there, we went to their old neighborhood near Rittenhouse Square and walked the streets for a while. I love going down alleys and finding obscure spots that aren’t the tradition locations for portraits. Keeping it fresh is half the fun.
